A new barristers’ chambers is opening its doors for business in Birmingham in a further boost to the city’s burgeoning legal sector.
Kings Chambers will be operating from Embassy House, Church Street, in the city centre from August 1.
It is one of the largest civil-only barristers’ sets outside London and already has a presence in Manchester and Leeds.
The new chambers has already made a number of key appointments with more on the way.
Planning expert, Anthony Crean QC who took silk in 2006 has joined the set from Birmingham’s No 5 Chambers, along with fellow barrister Sarah Clover and senior clerk for the Birmingham operation, Gary Smith.
The chambers said it is also involved in active discussions with others interested in joining the new set.
Nicholas Braslavsky QC, head of chambers at Kings Chambers, said: “I would like to welcome Anthony, Sarah and Gary to Kings Chambers in Birmingham.
"I know that they are as enthusiastic as we are about the opening of our new offices because of the prospects that it offers them and their clients.”
