3PB Barristers has opened a new chamber in Birmingham.

The move brings the group’s total number of offices up to six across the UK and becomes the practice’s first in the Midlands.

Elizabeth McGrath QC is the first tenant to be based in the new Birmingham office, housed in The Colmore Building.

She was formerly deputy head of chambers at St Philips in Birmingham where she was also head of the Family Law Practice Group and her expertise spans all aspects of childcare and financial dispute resolution.

Head of 3PB Nigel Lickley QC said: “We are delighted to welcome Elizabeth who is a well-regarded family law silk, with an enviable reputation for her expertise.

“She will be joining our new Birmingham office and is the latest in a number of excellent new tenants and the fourth QC in two months to join 3PB, reflecting 3PBs continued growth and commitment to better serve the needs of our clients.”

Chief executive Simon Astill added: “We warmly welcome Elizabeth to 3PB and in particular to our family law group.

“Her arrival is further demonstration of 3PB’s ability to attract leading specialists across all our practice areas.

“The Midlands is enjoying a period of strong growth and regeneration and we are pleased to be open in Birmingham.

“It is a significant step for 3PB and a strong platform for us to strengthen what we offer to our clients.”
