Citadel Chambers has agreed a commercial association with chambers based in Leeds and Newcastle.

The business alliance means members of Citadel Chambers, based in Corporation Street, and New Park Court Chambers will be able to accept instructions in their specialist fields in multiple jurisdictions, ensuring the combined experience and expertise is available to more clients nationally.

The alliance will provide a total of 140 barristers strategically positioned nationally to provide a modern, effective service to all clients.

The 53 members of Citadel Chambers have acquired a strong reputation defending and prosecuting in criminal proceedings but in recent years it has developed into a multi-disciplinary set, complimented by teams in other areas of practice - sports law, licensing, general common law, employment, immigration and asylum, regulatory work, inquiries and inquests.

Led by Andrew Fisher QC, Citadel Chambers also has a wealth of experience in regulatory work.

New Park Court Chambers combines the experience and expertise of 11 Queen’s Counsel and 85 junior barristers and has particular expertise in criminal, regulatory, family, civil, employment and commercial law.

They are known for providing specialist advice, advocacy and arbitration.

Bill Maynard, practice manager at Citadel Chambers said: “We are delighted to be part of this an alliance between premium sets in their field which will provide our clients with an improved range of services and a broader geographical spread.”
