IT experts from legal firms across the Midlands are being invited to take part in two forums designed to help them share their experiences of the latest technologies and training techniques.

The Legal IT Forum is being organised by Stratford-based professional IT and training solutions company Humber-Ashford Associates on Friday, September 30 at the offices of Anthony Collins Solicitors, in Waterloo Street, Birmingham.

Dawn Ashford, director of Humber-Ashford Associates, said the event would help IT managers from law firms discuss how best to use the latest technology to help their businesses grow.

Mrs Ashford said: "We've been running IT forums now for about three years and they've proved to be popular and valuable events, providing IT managers with an opportunity to meet and exchange ideas on industry related issues.

"The events throw up discussions on topics such as digital dictation, practice management solutions, email security and disaster recovery, workflow management and generally what technologies are being used by law firms across the region and how effective they are in helping those businesses.

"Those who attend will be able to share their experiences and take away valuable ideas on how best to use the latest technology and IT training techniques to keep their practices moving in the right direction."

Humber-Ashford Associates is also planning an event on October 7 for anyone involved in IT training in legal firms.

Mrs Ashford added: "The Legal IT Training Forum event in October is aimed at IT training professionals and we have invited a leading e-learning provider, TutorPro, to come along and talk to the group.

"This is the third forum and all those who have attended in the past found the opportunity to meet others in the same field immensely valuable.

"IT training managers from firms like Cobbetts, Wragges, Hammonds, Gateley Wareing and Martineau Johnson have attended earlier forums and we hope the next one will prove as good."
