DTZ director Tim Harries has taken up the helm at the Nottingham office of the property adviser.
Mr Harries, who is considered one of the leading property figures in the Midlands, has 15 years experience in the formulation and implementation of asset management strategies on behalf of major corporate and investor clients. He has been a director at DTZ since 1995.
He helped establish DTZ's Nottingham office in 1995 and since that time he has seen it go from strength to strength.
The office now incorporates several multi- disciplined teams including agency, valuation, investment, landlord and tenant, building consultancy and property management, which serve a wide range of local and regional clients.
This year has seen a number of successes for the Nottingham office, with the most notable emanating from the property management team which won the instruction to manage the BP Pension Fund Cornerhouse development in Nottingham city centre, home to UCG Cinemas, a Virgin Active Gym and a wide variety of restaurants and bars.
The agency team also completed a landmark deal which saw the sale of 62 acres of serviced development land at Brookpark, which is positioned just off junction 29 of the M1, to Sports Soccer for the construction of what will be one of the largest distribution centres in the UK.
Mr Harries said: "DTZ has built a strong business in Nottingham over the past ten years and I am certain that we will extend our market position by continuing to listen to, and interpret what our clients want.
"2005 has been a great year for DTZ and its Nottingham office to date - I look forward to steering the office to more success in the future and am confident that we have the right team in place to do so."
