One of Birmingham’s top multi-sector law firms has this month launched a new 12-month fundraising initiative which will help raise funds for the Birmingham YMCA’s multimillion pound Orchard facility in Erdington.
Anthony Collins Solicitors, which specialises in a variety of sectors including children and young people, commercial enterprise and social housing has just named Birmingham YMCA as one of its key charities who will benefit from the Four Cubed fundraising initiative.
The next 12 months will see four members of its legal team run four 10k runs, four half marathons and four full marathons. In addition to this, those not running will be organising an extensive range of events including fashion shows, bake sales and dance classes to help with the fundraising effort.
Money raised over the next 12 months will aid in the re-development of The Orchard, the Birmingham YMCA’s new £13.5 million facility in Erdington.
Alan Fraser, of Birmingham YMCA, said: “We’re well on our way to reaching the £13.5 milllion needed for The Orchard’s completion however we still need to raise a further £1.2 million for its completion. Support has been coming in from across the country and we are incredibly grateful.”
