Jones Lang LaSalle has been appointed as commercial consultants on the proposed £270 million refurbishment of New Street Station.

The firm will be working with lead consultant WSP and reporting to Network Rail on the commercial implications of the proposed development, together with the identification of opportunities which will arise as a result of the proposed improvements to the station.

Guy Webber, head of Jones Lang LaSalle in Birmingham, said: "We are delighted to be involved in a project of this magnitude; the redevelopment will play a key role in attracting inward investment into the city and the wider region."
