Eighteen employees from Kraft Foods have volunteered at a Midland primary school to build a greenhouse made of plastic bottles and an outdoor shelter.

The staff from the Bournville plant went to Sutton Park Community Primary in Kidderminster, where working in two teams, the ‘Fruit and Nuts’ put together the outdoor shelter, while the ‘Coffee Grinders’ spent the morning cutting more than 1,500 bottles. Michael Huggins, a community champion at Kraft Foods in Bournville, said: “It was a hard day’s work but we had a great time at the school and everyone was extremely accommodating, some of the year four pupils even cooked us pumpkin soup for lunch.”
