A team from KPMG’s public sector audit department in Birmingham has formed its very own “Ground Force” team to undertake a makeover at the Ladywood Health and Community Centre, which is part of the Heart of Birmingham Primary Care Trust.
The team of 60 accountants, headed by partner Mike McDonagh, has undertaken the project as part of KPMG’s commitment to corporate social responsibility.
KPMG’s staff came together to transform the garden, digging and preparing areas that required new paving, as well as painting and cleaning other areas of the centre.
Centre manager Lana Finnegan said: “We are delighted to have benefited from the hard work and time given by KPMG’s volunteer team, whose efforts will be much appreciated by the people who use the health and community centre on a daily basis.
“The team really gave its all in giving our garden a much-needed facelift, and we thank them enormously for their efforts.”
