Knight Frank's Birmingham office has announced the appointment of Nick Waddington who joins as a Partner to head its thriving industrial agency team.

Nick, who worked in Birmingham for five years following graduating from Birmingham Polytechnic, joins from the niche London agency Holley Blake.

Nick returns to the Knight Frank fold having worked as partner for its London and South East industrial agency team between 1999 and 2002.

Nick's experience has seen him working on a number of high profile projects with clients who include ProLogis, Gazeley, Astral Developments and most of the institutional funds.

Mark Swallow, head of the Birmingham office, said: "Since launching the Birmingham office six years ago, the industrial team has played a vital role in our growth and expansion. We have worked, and continue to work, on a number of the Midlands' major industrial schemes, including The Hub, Hams Hall and Apollo Park.

"Nick's appointment will build upon our existing strong profile and client relationships and will move us forward even more."

Mr Waddington added: "I will be looking to expand Knight Frank's industrial team in Birmingham based upon its excellent reputation and proven track record.

"Due in part to its geographical advantage and the fact that the Midlands is the UK's leading distribution and logistics hub, the regional industrial market continues to thrive, attracting both local and national investors.

"Birmingham has changed radically since I studied here in the nineties and the historic image of the Midlands is far from reality."
