Lichfield law firm Keelys has undertaken all the conveyancing work for East Midlands' property developers Faycross for its newest residential project in Repton, Derbyshire.

Keelys' senior partner John Parkes worked with Jason Lindsay, managing director of Faycross, in setting up a management company and organising the structure of leases and freehold disposals of the mix of twelve townhouses and apartments at the new development.

Called Mercia Court, it is a refurbishment of a former car showroom - Repton Garage.

The main building has retained a number of period art deco features including a large semi-circular window dominating the front of the property, other large floor to ceiling windows throughout and decorative wrought iron work.

Commenting on the legal work, Mr Parkes said: "This was a complex job as the development is a mix of leasehold and freehold properties.

"We are delighted to have been a part of what has been achieved at Mercia Court which is a clever combination of unusual period features and the most modern and stylish interiors."

Faycross was launched in 1973 and has been responsible for a number of high profile commercial and residential property developments, including the Burton-onTrent headquarters for Bison Concrete.
