A catering company, founded by a former Edgbaston High School pupil, has secured a £250,000 deal with advertising agency McCann-Erickson.

The contract with cateringfirm Charlton House, established by Robyn Jones, will involve a team of seven supplying and serving meals for agency staff at Bonis Hall in Prestbury, Cheshire.

The three-year, cost-plus contract, which commenced this week, will also involve providing a vending service for 290 McCann-Erickson staff.

McCann-Erickson Manchester's chief executive, Sue Little said: "The Charlton House team come to us with a significant track record and were recommended by one of our major clients.

"We selected them for their innovative approach to food, menus and their views on the overall style and layout of our Bistro facility."

Charlton House clients also include Sun Microsystems, the Royal London Mutual Society, BUPA , CPM United Kingdom and SSL International.

Mrs Jones said: "We are delighted that McCann-Erickson have appreciated our more creative and individual approach to food in the workplace, and look forward to working with them."
