Pension specialist Janet Henley is the latest independent financial adviser to join the in-house team at MFG Solicitors.

Ms Henley is based at the firm's Kidderminster office but will be available to clients throughout the network.

She will advise on all pension matters including pension simplification issues in the lead up to A Day on April 6, 2006.

She said: "The new rules on how and where you can invest pensions are prompting great interest from MFG Solicitors' extensive private client base, and the demand for advice on pension entitlements in divorce cases continues to grow.

"MFG's corporate clients are also aware of how important it is to take pensions into consideration when planning a business, whether for growth, acquisition, sale or succession issues."

Simon Edge, head of MFG Solicitors' financial services division, said: "Janet joining our team is a key step in the continual development of the range of financial services we can offer across the region. These additional services give us a competitive edge over our competitors."

Ms Henley spent 13 years with accountants Moore Stephens in their Birmingham office which was acquired by Bentley Jennison last year. She was involved in the setting up of Moore Stephens' financial services division.
