New members of the Institute of Directors in Coventry and Warwickshire are to be given an insight into e-working and improving the life-work balance.

The Coventry & Warwick-shire branch of the IoD in the West Midlands is growing with over 900 members and according to county chairman Stephen Kingswell, is now recognised as one of the most active and successful branches in the UK.

Across the West Midlands the IoD now boasts more than 3,500 members and to introduce new members into the network, the Coventry & Warwickshire branch is holding a new members' evening on Tuesday, September 26, at the Coventry TechnoCentre, located in Puma Way, Coventry.

Mr Kingswell said: "This new impressive, state-of-theart facility is part of Coventry Enterprises, which supports business innovation and growth.

"We thought it would be an ideal venue for new, potential and existing members of the IoD to meet and mix over drinks and a finger buffet.

"We have asked members of Coventry University to give a short talk on e-working and improving work-life balance as this is an issue we are all having to address."

Regional director John Phillips said: "The IoD offers non-political business support for individual directors and the branch meets regularly across Coventry and Warwickshire for business breakfast meetings and evening seminars.

"It also has a good track record of social events including a very popular pop quiz." * Directors or business owners interested in attending can book a place by contacting sharon.woollaston@iod.com or ringing on 0121 632 2300.
