Wragge & Co's Finance, Projects and Technology Group has welcomed back former associate, Ian Ilersic.
Mr Ilersic began his career at the Birmingham law firm in 1998, before moving to Leicester outfit Spearing Waite last year.
He has rejoined the finance practice where he is a key member of both the debt finance team headed by partner Chris Brierley and the insolvency arm led by partner Maria Collingridge.
His arrival takes the total number of dedicated finance lawyers to 35.
Mr Ilersic said: "When I decided to return to a larger firm, which would allow me to do good quality banking work, my first choice was Wragge. It has a large, dedicated finance practice advising UK and international banks and corporates on complex banking and restructuring work."
Group leader Julian Pallett said: "We are delighted that Ian has decided to rejoin Wragge.
"He is a valuable asset, bringing with him great technical knowledge, coupled with a friendly and approachable manner."
During his previous time at Wragge, Mr Illersic worked with many of the firm's banking clients, developing relationships with HSBC, Barclays and Lloyds TSB.
