The search is on for worthy nominations for the prestigious Cares Awards.
These awards are designed to recognise individual employee volunteers and teams who volunteered through Cares in 2004 and to recognise the impact that has been achieved in the business and community.
Since its inception in 1998, Cares has encouraged more than 80,000 employee volunteers to get involved in community activity throughout the country.
Cares is Business in the Community's major volunteering initiative, working with companies to develop and improve the breadth and impact of their employee volunteering programmes.
The categories are:
* Cares' Volunteer of the Year award for any Cares volunteers to recognise individual commitment and achievement through volunteering.
* Cares' Team Leader of the Year award for volunteers who have risen to the challenge of team leader.
* Cares' Team of the Year award where the winning team will be able to show the commitment it made, and the team skills developed while making an impact in the local community.
Deadline for nomination entries is Monday, May 16 with entry forms available from www.bitc.org.uk/cares or on 020 7566 8785.
