Employees will be walking along hotel corridors with more gusto than usual in preparation for the 5km Heroes Run at Warwick Castle.
Ten members of staff from the Legacy Falcon Hotel in Chapel Street, Stratford, along with a few of their relatives have entered the charity run in aid of the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) on Sunday, May 13.
National account and agency sales manager Sian Pirone and her sons Morgan and John, sales co-ordinator Sarah Barrett, food and beverages services manager Lloyd Halliday, Gemma King from accounts along with her daughter, Shelley, breakfast waitress Margit Graham, chefs Carl Edwards and Rafal Machala, kitchen porter Joyce Marshall, receptionist Monika Orywel and bar supervisor Janet Dones and her husband, Steve, will be among those setting off at 9.45am.
Ms Pirone said the group initially set a target of £500 but it has been increased to £1,000 since they had already nearly reached their goal.
She said: “The charity saves lives in the tremendous amount of work that they carry out on a daily basis and we are all busy training to make sure we complete the course.”
