The first official London 2012 toys will be ready by Christmas, created by toy firm Hornby.

The company has been awarded a three-year licence to develop and market the range of products which will all feature the London 2012 branding.

It will include a Scalextric velodrome set, Corgi die-cast model vehicles and Airfix kits of the main London 2012 venues.
