Havelock Europa, the provider of educational and retail interiors, announced a satisfactory start to the year at its AGM.
The group, which has its Havelock Interiors office in Alfreton, Derbyshire, said revenues in the first half are expected to be ahead of those for the first six months of last year, with a particularly strong performance from its printing business.
Chairman, Malcolm Gourlay, reported an increased order flow for its educational furniture and supplies business which supplies the PFI and Direct to Schools sectors and plans to focus on the improvement of operational performance in this area.
The group’s ventures within the retail sector continued with order intake well ahead of last year, although the revenues arising from completed work will be at a similar level to those for the first six months of 2007.
This year, the group’s largest customer will be House of Fraser, for which two new stores have already been completed with two more to follow in the second half.
