Two more West Midlands PR agencies have merged as the industry goes through a measure of consolidation.
Henley in Arden-based Leader Communications and The Immediate Consultancy, of Solihull, have joined forces.
The merger sees Immediate owner Geraldine Sheridan joining the Leader board and relocating to Leader's offices in Henley-in-Arden.
Immediate PR consultant Anna Watts also joins the combined team.
The consultancy will trade as Leader Communications, and offer a wide range of PR services in consumer, business-to-business and not-for-profit markets across the UK.
It will also boost Leader's position in the annual PRWeek league table of regional agencies, from its 48th rank last year.
Ms Sheridan formed her media relations consultancy after practising as a regional and national journalist more than five years ago.
She felt she had built a successful brand, with clients in the consumer and retail industries.
"We specialise in media relations and in regional PR across the country. The brand is very successful, we were working with major companies and I realised that we needed to grow," she said.
"I decided the best way of doing that was to merge with another company and bring the Immediate ethos into another company.
"Leader is a company I have respected for many years and I felt was the best company to merge with."
Leader chief executive James Holden said: "This merger creates an organisation with an outstanding team of consultants, a great range of experience and PR acumen, and a first-class portfolio of clients with whom we are proud to work.
"What makes the whole thing so exciting is that we are bringing together two successful, growing organisations which share common values and ambitions.
"I am a huge admirer of Geraldine and her team at Immediate for the way they have quickly established themselves as a major PR force with clients across the UK.
"For all of these reasons, I am delighted to be involved in a merger that will build on the success already achieved by both organisations, particularly in the year we celebrate Leader's 40th anniversary."
Ms Sheridan added: "Leader Communications was the obvious choice of partner for myself and Immediate.
"Their track record of success over 40 years speaks for itself. Success like that is the result of consistently good service and first class PR campaigns.
"Both Leader and Immediate are organisations absolutely committed to the same thing - delivering high quality national and regional PR services in genuinely supportive and lasting partnerships with our clients.
"The merger paves the way for continued success."
