New companies looking for a cash boost to develop an innovative idea, can receive up to £12,000 with the launch of a grant scheme.
Coventry-based sales and marketing consultants Rowan have been approved by the Government to help firms with less than 250 employees develop these new ideas by working with external consultants.
The scheme specifically targets SMEs and individuals who have a new innovation they wish to bring to market.
Rowan, which specialises in taking business ideas to market, said the grant gave small firms an opportunity to work with experts in what could be a difficult area.
"The paperwork involved in obtaining grants can be very daunting," said Chris Salt, founder and chairman of Rowan.
"We can give advice, but we generally end up handling the paperwork on behalf of the company or individual.
"We're used to it and we know what sort of things the funding agencies are looking for. Once a grant has been obtained we can, if needed, provide advice and the practical hands-on support to deliver the results."
