Two former Coventry University colleagues are celebrating boosted business after setting up their own creative company firm in the city.

Howard Forrester and Zenon Texeira started in business earlier this year after working in the design studio at Coventry University.

After branching out on their own, they have just moved into modern offices at Electric Wharf, just outside the city centre, through agents Shortland Horne.

Their original business plan was centred around them cornering the market in the design and production of literature for higher and further education institutions, but through an old Cardinal Wiseman schoolmate of Zenon?s, the company was commissioned to work for the Kraken Group in London.

Such was the volume of the work from the London firm, Howard and Zenon took the decision to name the firm Kraken Creative. The team has since expanded to include Simon Harper and Gary Maddison who are also former colleagues from Coventry University.

They have since carried out design work for a number of Kraken Group?s sporting clients including the NFL in the USA as well as working on a documentary for Sky One involving former England rugby union captain Martin Johnson and Manchester City goalkeeper David James looking at the way American Football is run in the states.

Cameron Thomson, of Shortland Horne, said: ?There is strong sense of business community building here and I am sure Kraken Creative will add to that.?
