A golf day raised £2,000 to help provide care for life limited children at Acorns Children’s Hospice.
Veteran Acorns’ fundraiser John Fewins, of Solihull, teamed up with Richard and Tim Venner, of Knowle, to support Acorns at the event at Fulford Heath Golf Club, in Wythall.
Mr Fewins, who has raised more than £250,000 to support Acorns Children’s Hospice over its life, in events including the Acorns’ Ball he ran with his wife Jean, said: “We have had six golf days, it’s great fun working on them. People who joined us were laughing all day long.
“Richard and Tim have attended every one. It’s typical of the support we’ve had from them.”
Dawn Pawlett, Acorns’ volunteers manager, said: “John continues to be a great ambassador for Acorns. His enthusiasm and commitment encourage his friends and colleagues to offer their help and support. We thank everyone who supports John and his voluntary work.”
