Small and medium-sized West Midlands companies in the automotive sector have just eight days to book their places for a major international exhibition in Germany.
UK Trade & Investment West Midlands is inviting firms to promote their companies and exhibit their products at Automechanika in Frankfurt on September 12-17.
The closing date for applications is July 14 The team has booked a booth, branded West Midlands Automotive, as a base for participating companies during the event - located within the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders' British pavilion.
The package of support available from UK Trade & Investment includes a subsidised travel and accommodation package, pre-and post event publicity in the UK and Germany and company product photos being used on stand display pictures.
It also includes company profiles in German and English, use of the SMMT meeting room and advice from a German automotive specialist based at the British Consulate in Munich and from Germanspeaking UK Trade & Investment staff.
C ompanies that have already signed up to join the West Midlands Automotive booth include Silentbloc UK, of Burton-upon-Trent, a division of the Icon Polymer Group.
Silentbloc manufactures elastomeric anti-vibration control components for global markets.
Key account manager Stuart Ramsay said: "Auto-mechanika is the largest exhibition of its type in Europe and offers suppliers to the automotive market such as ourselves a not-to-be-missed opportunity."
