A nationwide search has launched this week to find Britain's best franchisors.

The British Franchise Association's annual Fran-chisor of the Year Awards, which also recognise outstanding brand building and enterprise, are designed to showcase the UK's leading performers in a booming industry now employing more than 327,000 and worth an annual £10 billion to the economy.

This year the theme for the top title, BFA Franchisor of the Year, is Planning for Success - with franchisors having to demonstrate to the judging panel how they are advising, developing and monitoring the role of business planning within their network.

Last year, two winners shared the top accolade - Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness Clubs and Kall Kwik, the business design, print and digital specialist.

Entries are also being invited for the category of Brand Builder of the Year and Enterprise.

The closing date is February 17.
