A hotel near Coventry is building four new conference rooms to cope with a rapid rise in sales.
A £10 million refurbishment, which included doubling the number of bedrooms to 120, adding a conference centre and a Vital Health and Leisure Spa, was completed at the Macdonald Brandon Hall Hotel & Spa in December - but already it is having to expand again.
A 40 per cent growth in conference bookings in the year to June compared to the previous 12 months has led to owners Macdonald Hotels and Resorts ploughing in further money to expand.
Debbie Johnson, the hotel's general manager, said the new conference rooms were due to be completed in September this year.
"We have been delighted with the response to the Woodland Suite which is a self-contained conference centre," she said.
Three of the rooms will accommodate 12, 15 and 20 delegates in a fixed boardroom lay-out. The fourth suite is capable of holding up to 20 people.
