Two former Britannic Assurance senior managers have set up a residential investment, property management and consultancy services firm near Pershore.

Specialised Investment Property Services, based at the Deer Park Business Centre in Eckington, has been founded by managing director Glenn Hanson, a former regional director at Britannic and development director Bob Levy, Britannic?s former head of IFA distribution.

Mr Hanson believes his company?s financial services credentials will be invaluable in the changing residential property investment sector.

He says the buy-to-let market is moving towards tighter regulation, more in keeping with mainstream mortgage lending, while the A-day reform of pensions in April next year, where residential property can be bought via a self invested personal pension scheme (SIPPS), is set to encourage many more into property investment.

And, via a network of contacts, additional offerings cover tax planning, pensions, financial services, conveyancing, property surveys, insurance, and legal services.

Specialised Investment Property Services will handle individual investors as well as pension scheme trustees managing SIPPS portfolios.
