A Birmingham based oriental food company has invested £5 million on expanding its city superstore and headquarters.
Work to enlarge Wing Yip’s exisiting store and head office to 83,000 sq ft and build a new warehouse of 30,000 sq ft, on its ten acre site in Nechells began in February and is due for completion in the New Year.
Managing director Henry Yap said: “The larger site now means we can provide an even greater range of pan-Asian food and ingredients to meet the growing demand for authentic ethnic food.
“What’s more, our customers can now enjoy the new shopping experience and the extra space in time for Christmas as interior works are being completed.
“We are proud to be investing in Birmingham where Wing Yip opened its first store.”
