The MC will be Ed James and BBC Dalziel and Pascoe heartthrob Colin Buchanan will host the TV round at this year’s Acorns Professional Challenge sponsored by PwC on Monday October 19th.
Adding to the £54,000 the event has raised for Acorns Children’s Hospice in the past six years, Lorna Sheldon, chair of the Acorns Business Club, said: “Despite the difficult economic circumstances, we’ve had a tremendous response from the local business community. We’ve now only space for three more teams.”
Teams will mingle with the local media glitterati hosting other rounds: Llewela Bailey, Heart FM’s Ed James and Steve Denyer as well as BBC’s Sarah Falkland and perennial anchormen Nick Owen and Bob Warman.
Already signed up to pit their wits against Birmingham’s finest include DLA Piper, Hammonds, Lloyds TSB, Radisson SAS, RBS, Severn Trent, Wesleyan and Willmott Dixon. Winners will enjoy lunch at Hotel du Vin in the company of a mystery business guru. To sign up contact Acorns Business Club’s Jackie Goodfellow on 0121 265 5643.
