The seventh annual Blythe Valley Park Charity Fun Run is to be held in Solihull in September and this year there is an added incentive for runners to sign up with a sibling.
Joint organisers Liberty Property Trust, which owns and manages the Business Park, and Shirley Lions Club have secured funding from Brother UK and one of their key partners Midland Business Equipment to help with the cost of putting on the event on September 12.
There will be a 10km and 5km race, plus a 500m mini fun run which will all be taking place on the day and will be started by a local celebrity.
Money raised from the entry fees will be split between Solihull Breast Friends and Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.
Print manufacturer Brother UK and office equipment suppliers Midland Business Equipment, based in Knowle, have also donated £500 to the two charities.
Kate Smith, of Liberty Property Trust UK, which manages the business park in partnership with Doughty Hanson & Co Real Estate, said: “We had a record number of people run last year which made for a great day and hopefully the event on September 12 will be even better.”
