Midlands business has got behind Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra's Summer Prom performance on July 9.
Aiming to raise funds to support disadvantaged communities in Birmingham, the summer prom is principally sponsored by international engineering advisers Hyder Consulting (UK). Taking place at the Symphony Hall, it is in aid of the Birmingham Foundation.
Traditional colourful musical scores such as Jerusalem, the Dambusters March, Pomp and Circumstance and Barwick Green - the theme from The Archers - head the list of classical favourites.
John Matthews, director of Aston-based Hyder, said: "The first concert was held last year and received rapturous applause, not only for the musical performance of the orchestra but for the funds raised, which totalled around £25,000.
"The money has been distributed amongst nine community projects in the Aston Cross area."
David Bucknall, chairman of Birmingham Foundation, added: "The Birmingham Foundation is indebted to Hyder for leading this drive forward to create a better Birmingham for all sections of the community and to Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra whose generosity in performing the scores is an outstanding performance in its own right."
Tickets for the event are priced at £12, £17 and £20 and can be obtained by emailing Clare Thompson at email@example.com or phoning 0870 000 3007.
