A paint spraying firm, an engineering recruitment agency and a textile company are all vying for the title of "Outstanding Business" at this year's Black Country Asian Business Association Awards.
Metal Spray in Wednesbury, R+R Midlands based in Bloxwich and Orbit International based in Winson Green will battle it out for the title, which will be awarded at the prize ceremony on Friday.
The firms are amongst 21 finalists in categories that celebrate the best start up company, young entrepreneurs, community excellence, regeneration, international trade and learning.
Rakesh Saini, BCABA business manager, said: "This year's finalists reflect the outstanding achievements that have been made by Asian businesses in the Black Country.
"However in many ways it is not enough to regard these awards merely as a celebration of 'Asian businesses'.
"The chosen finalists represent a complete cross section of business life. And although they are of course all run by Asian businessmen and women, they have been chosen because they are all highly successful businesses in their own right - and that is what is most rewarding about these awards."
Supported by Lloyds TSB, this year's BCABA event will be held at the Copthorne Hotel in Merry Hill and will be hosted by Nikki Bedi - one of the presenters on the BBC Asian Network.
