A West Midlands firm is set to revolutionise the window header and sills market with the introduction of a range of new, innovative products.
Ace Nu-Look, based in Cradley Heath, has designed a lightweight, stone fascia which can be retro-fitted to transform property exteriors.
The product is made from a "polymer stone resin" using a secret formula developed by the firm.
It is the UK's only retrofitted alternative to the traditional stone headers and sills. Ace Nu-Look believes it will offer a cost-effective and timesaving option for the building and construction industries.
Inventor and co-director of Ace Nu-Look, Mark Grazier, said: "I worked in the building trade for nearly 15 years.
"Traditional headers and bills are so easily damaged and incredibly heavy to manhandle into position that it often needed two or three men for the job.
"Four years ago I started by looking at using vacuum formed plastics and fibreglass but soon realised that it didn't feel and look like real stone.
"My other problem was finding a means of attaching the product to the wall in a way that anyone could easily fit it."
The company is due to officially launch its new products at the National Homebuilding and Renovating Show at the NEC next month.
