Midlands-based accountancy firm Clement Keys has been named as one of the best employers for apprentices and school leavers in 2015-16.
The honour was announced at an awards ceremony organised by AllAboutSchoolLeavers – an independent organisation with the aim of raising awareness of the importance of apprenticeship and school-leaver programmes across all industry sectors.
Based on the opinions of school leavers themselves, the results were gathered by speaking to trainee apprentices at a number of UK companies.
Clement Keys ranked 27th out of 72 businesses across the country, performing above many larger corporates including the BBC, EDF Energy and DHL.
Simon Atkins, staff partner at Clement Keys, said: “We have always held school leavers and apprentices in high regard. We have a working culture that gives them the opportunity to progress and take on real responsibilities backed by the support of our fully qualified teams.
“As a result of strong business performance over the last year, we’re growing each of our service areas and will be hiring a number of apprentices this year to support our future growth.”
The aim of the Top Employers for School and College Leavers Awards is to recognise the companies that are doing the most to support the next generation of talent and help them to make an informed decision about their next career steps.
