Chantrey Vellacott DFK has strengthened its senior management team in Birmingham with the appointment of two new partners.

The firm, which has offices on the Hagley Road and can trace its roots back to 1788, has recruited Paul Fenner and Craig Povey

The two have been brought in to help grow the client base and offer increased services to clients across the Midlands.

Mr Fenner is returning to the fold after originally training with Heathcote & Coleman, which merged with Chantrey Vellacott DFK last autumn.

He has worked for Deloitte and was a director at RSM Robson Rhodes/Grant Thornton in the city.

Mr Fenner is also a director of the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry and recently helped advise it on a £14 million capital project for a successful expansion and creation of its new auditorium.

Mr Povey, who lives in Worcestershire, is a specialist in corporate recovery and a licensed insolvency practitioner.

Suk Aulak, a partner at Chantrey Vellacott DFK in Birmingham, said: “We have known Paul for many years and with the addition of Paul and Craig we believe they have the requisite skills not only to increase our service offering to clients of all sizes, but also to drive the new-look company forward.”
