A Solihull-based financial services company has won credit contracts with two major national retailers.

LaSer won a tender to supply finance to the DFS furniture chain, which has 79 stores nationwide.

It will provide retail consumer finance for DFS customers at approximately one out of every three DFS stores across the country.

And it will also provide retail finance for customers of Dreams, Britain’s leading bed specialist, at each of its 235 stores nationwide. LaSer, which employs more than 600 people at its Solihull offices, is owned jointly by Galeries Lafayette, the French department store, and BNP Paribas, the French investment bank.

The company provides a range of financial services products, including credit cards, storecards, gift cards, loyalty and affinity programmes, data analysis, retail finance and insurance programmes.

Current customers include Flybe, Selfridges & Co, Laura Ashley, Optimax, Argos, Homebase and a number of Premiership and Championship football clubs.

David Fletcher, the sales director at the firm, said: “Our state of the art web-based system for transactions gives us a huge competitive advantage and accounts for our continued success in the retail sector. We are delighted to be working with these two very high profile retailers.”
