Ernst & Young has appointed a new partner to bolster its tax and cleantech team.
Julian Bowden-Williams has joined the firm from Biffa Waste Services where he was head of tax and treasury.
The firm said the new recruit would add to its services in the cleantech and climate change sector.
Mr Bowden-Williams said: During my recent time working in the waste sector, I have spent a considerable amount of time focussing on landfill tax and wider environmental taxes.
“Cleantech and reducing carbon emissions are high on the agenda for businesses across the UK and the Midlands and we have industry leading credentials in advising clients in this area.”
“I am looking forward to providing a local Midlands perspective to this national and indeed global agenda.
“Ernst & Young are ideally placed to help its clients tackle the challenges and seize the opportunities presented by the developing cleantech market and its distinctive tax issues.”
