Rathbone Investment Management has appointed Ian Tansley as investment director at its Birmingham office.

Mr Tansley has over 16 years experience in the investment management industry, specialising in managing bespoke portfolios on behalf of private clients, charities, trusts and pension funds.

He joins Rathbones from Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management where he was responsible for £170 million of funds under management.

Mr Tansley lives in Northamptonshire and is married with two daughters aged six and three.
