Mazars has acquired UK immigration services business Sarah Buttler Associates – a move expected to boost its offer in the Midlands.

The deal will see the number of clients almost double in Mazars’ immigration services practice, including several FTSE 100 companies. John Errington, immigration services director at Mazars, said recent figures had shown a reduction in overall net migration into the UK in the last year but “demand for services supporting the mobility of skilled individuals hasn’t diminished”.

He said: “Demand will continue, not just from multi-nationals with established and complex needs, but also from ambitious start-ups expanding overseas and, indeed, wealthy individuals coming to the UK under the government’s ‘investor and entrepreneur’ visa programmes, in which we see growing interest.”

Central region managing partner David Chapman said: “There are some very big companies in the Midlands and a large number of exporters of all sizes.

“They are frequently moving their people around and this acquisition will enable us to further develop the package we can offer them, providing an international gateway and network for those who work from country to country.”

Mazars Immigration Services advises multi-national corporations, high net worth individuals, entrepreneurs, investors, and leading sports, entertainment and fashion personalities.
