Solihull-based accountancy firm Jerroms has added to its range of services by acquiring an interest in the business of a commercial and residential mortgage broker.

The undisclosed investment in Henley-in-Arden based Mortgages Together has been completed and its team will be relocating to Jerroms’ Solihull office on December 1.

Mortgages Together provides advice in obtaining residential and commercial mortgages loans, including buy-to-let finance and Jerroms partner Lucas Markou said the deal would bolster the firm.

He said: “The partnership with Mortgages Together will enable us to complement our existing range of services for growing businesses and for individuals. We already provide general advice and introductions to businesses and their owners and managers on finance.

“However we will now be able to go one step further in advising on and arranging mortgage loans for our clients and we will be able to seamlessly support applications with accounts and financial information, acting as a reference for lenders.

“Our strategy remains to build the full advisory package for clients and this deal is a significant one for us in this respect.”

Mortgages Together works with clients to source and arrange loans that meet the requirements of individuals and businesses looking for mortgage loan finance and then help with the completion of the arrangements.

Mortgages Together managing director Trevor Pugh, who is remaining with the business, said he was confident about the marketplace.

He said: “We have built our business from a platform of an experienced team and a commitment to personal service.

“Despite the current banking climate, there are many deals out there and a huge variety of terms available – our systems base and the personal approach of our team means that we can match clients’needs in the most cost effective way possible.

“Both we and Jerroms have a similar working style and we believe that this link will be in the interests of our clients, to whom we will be able to offer additional services if required, and our staff.”
