A Digbeth company which provides building maintenance and support services has undergone a management buyout.

Premier Support Services was launched by the Taylor family in 1989 and runs services such as cleaning, security and building maintenance.

The existing senior team will remain in place with co-founder Paul Taylor staying on as executive chairman and director Andy Walker stepping up to become managing director.

Turnover at the firm was £20 million for the year to September 2015.

Mr Taylor said the company planned to double pre-tax earnings over the next four years.

Investec Growth & Acquisition Finance supported the MBO with a package of debt and mezzanine facilities which will also by used for the ongoing growth capital requirements.

Grant Davidson from the firm said: "Backing successful entrepreneurs is core to our offering and we believe we have a strong management team in place."
