HSBC Private Bank has appointed Cameron Farnell as relationship director in its Birmingham office.

Mr Farnell has worked with HSBC for nine years, previously with its premier team looking after private customers.

His new role will primarily be focused on business development, liaising with the financial and professional services community in Birmingham.

Mr Farnell said: “I’m delighted to be undertaking a new challenge, building upon my experience to date to further strengthen our relationships with the professional community in Birmingham.”

Derek Proctor, regional director at HSBC Private Bank said: “Bringing Cameron into the role was an easy decision for us with his wealth of private client experience and understanding of the concerns and requirements of HSBC Private Bank clients. “

The bank moved to its new offices in Birmingham’s city centre at 120 Edmund Street in May 2010, along with the HSBC Corporate Banking team.

HSBC was previously located at Stephenson Place, its home for 25 years.
