Eight graduates are taking their first steps to success at the Birmingham office of Grant Thornton.
The new graduates are among 230 trainees joining Grant Thornton this year and will follow a three-year training programme during which they will gain experience across the firm’s wide range of services and work towards gaining a professional qualification.
Dave Munton, Birmingham office managing partner and national head of the firm’s trainee intake, said: “Grant Thornton is well known for the high quality of its training programmes and this year we have added several internet-based initiatives to the mix.”
One member of the development team is Birmingham-based Chris Smith.
He said: “I joined Grant Thornton last September and within the first 12 months I have been given more responsibility than I could have ever imagined.
“In addition to the variety of client work I’ve been given, interviewing the firm’s CEO and helping build a website are just some of the highlights. It’s been an amazing first year.”
