Former West Bromwich Building Society chief executive Andrew Messenger has been appointed as the new business development advisor at Sutton Coldfield based Henwood Court Financial Planning.

Mr Messenger’s new role at the financial services and wealth management provider, will be to help the company gain new clients and maintain its growth development plan.

As chief executive at the West Brom, Mr Messenger saw nine consecutive years of growth before retiring in 2006.

Since then, he has been sharing his experience with organisations including a non-executive role as governor of Birmingham City University.
