A growing financial brokerage is moving its head office from Derby to Warwickshire as it rolls out plans to expand the number of franchises it operates.

Finance4Business trialled its first franchise earlier this year, and it now has a total of five running throughout the West Midlands and Yorkshire.

It plans to add another 24 next year to bring its total up to 29 by the end of 2011.

The firm was set up six years ago by former commercial banker Russell Martin, with its head office in Derby.

But Mr Martin has decided to bring the office closer to his home in Solihull, and chose a location in Kingsbury which allows greater capacity to host training for franchisees.

He said: “We will continue to have a base in Derby for the moment but the head office will be Kingsbury – officially from the New Year.

“We have a lot of people on the road and about 15 will be based in Kingsbury.

“We do all sorts – this week I have been to see a customer in the North West to arrange a commercial mortgage of £1.3 million.”

Mr Martin said the firm had lent more than £50 million this year, and aimed to grow this figure to between £100 million and £200 million next year.

“It depends on who quickly the franchisees can get up and running,” he said.
