EY has appointed Piers Clinton-Tarestad as an executive director to grow its IT risk and assurance practice in the Midlands.
Mr Clinton-Tarestad has more than 15 years’ experience assuring and implementing IT risk solutions for clients in the products and services industry and energy and assets markets. He joins from Deloitte and will be based out of EY’s Birmingham office.
EY’s Midlands practice has seen growth of six per cent over the past year and now has more than 800 people based in its Birmingham office at One Colmore Square.
Mr Clinton-Tarestad said: “I’m excited to be joining the Midlands team at a time of significant opportunity, in both the audit and advisory markets, as we help clients respond to changes in audit regulations and IT risks, including cyber security.
“EY has a strong base in the Midlands, as well as an impressive team and track record in the IT risk and assurance practice and I look forward to playing an important role in its future successes.”
