Two young faces on the Birmingham finance scene have set up a private client advisory aimed at the city’s next generation of millionaires.

Antony Pearse, a finalist in 2011’s Birmingham Young Professional of the Year, and business partner George Koulloupas, aged 34, launched their own brand of financial planning in February.

The business is part of Mackenzie Taylor Benefit Consultants in the Jewellery Quarter, where the pair generate leads off the company’s core offer of employee benefits.

Mr Pearse, aged 32, from Hall Green, said: “Clients come away being able to answer questions such as ‘How much do I need to earn, save, or sell my business for to give me what I want out of life and never run out of money’.

“We are fee based and have already embraced the change in legislation due at the turn of the year that other IFA firms are trying to remodel to.

“Our 30 clients are split between Birmingham and London.”

Mr Pearse and Mr Koulloupas, both originally from Reading, want to turn over £250,000 in their first year.

“We are working with Mackenzie Taylor as our benefactor for private clients, seeing guys on £150,000 basic earnings,” Mr Pearse said.

“As part of the arrangement with employee benefits, customers get a free 45-minute private client consultancy.

“That has been a happy hunting ground for us. We will charge about a minimum of £1,000 for a one-off job.

“We are targeting tomorrow’s millionaires, the 40-year-olds that are successful businessmen.”
