Charles Stanley has appointed Mark Merten-Jones as branch manager of its Birmingham investment management office.
He takes the helm at an office which has seen a rise in funds under management and administration in the past four years, rising from £110 million to £475 million.
Mr Merten-Jones was formerly chief investment officer and board director of BRI Wealth Management, where he had lead responsibility for investment strategy, asset allocation and the day-today running of the investment department.
Prior to joining BRI, he worked for Gerrard Wealth Management and Griffiths & Lamb Stockbrokers.
Richard Venner, director of financial planning at the Birmingham office, said: “Assets are rising and clients are becoming excited by the proposition that we offer which is really gaining traction in Birmingham and the region.
“Over the next few years we will hopefully see continued growth of the office and Mark will be vital to its future strategic direction and approach.
On behalf of the team, we wish him every success.”
