Brown Shipley has recruited Anne Brookes, a senior figure in the world of private banking, to join its expanding team in Birmingham.
Ms Brookes has been appointed private banking director and has begun work alongside the existing investment team in Birmingham, where Brown Shipley has more than £100 million in assets under management.
Ian Sackfield, managing director of Brown Shipley, said: “Anne has an enviable reputation in the field of relationship banking and is a well-known and respected figure in Birmingham.
“We have ambitious plans for the Midlands and she has exactly the qualities we need to help drive forward that expansion.
“We envisage Anne assembling a strong banking and relationship team comprised of like-minded professionals and building on Brown Shipley’s already substantial private banking presence in the region.”
Ms Brookes has worked in banking for more than 30 years, with the last 10 years spent at a senior level in private banking in the Midlands.
