A multi-million pound care home has opened in the Black Country after its owners secured a funding package from Barclays.
Veronica House, based on Leabrook Road in Tipton, is owned by James and Veronica Lovell, directors of Hunstone, and is managed by their daughter in-law Elaine with support of their sons David and Andrew.
It sits alongside its sister home Leabrook House which has been open for almost 30 years.
The new care facility offers 52 en-suite single bedrooms and has currently created jobs for over 50 staff.
The accommodation provides specialist nursing care for adults with a range of complex physical disabilities, end of life care and treatment of disease, disorder or injury.
Mr Lovell said: “We are thrilled that the home is open and already we have a number of patients settled in.
“The feedback we have had from our patients and their families has been very positive.”
Mark Mumford, relationship director at Barclays in the Black Country, said: “The new home provides top class care services.
“Jim, his wife Monica and the rest of the family have a wealth of experience in the sector and I am delighted we have been able to support them in realising their ambitions for the new home.”
